My World of Work Beta is Scotland’s career information and advice website. It’s brought to you by Skills Development Scotland (SDS) – Scotland’s national skills agency. The site is designed to support everyone develop their career management skills, no matter what stage you’re at in your career.

We have advice and tools to help you find out more about yourself and the opportunities open to you. Your My World of Work Beta account will help you discover careers which match your skills, strengths and personality type.
You can register for a free account to complete the tools and create your profile. The more tools you complete, the better career suggestions we can give.

We provide information, advice and resources for parents and carers, teachers, college and university staff and SDS partners.
We're not just a website
My World of Work Beta is part of the careers service offered by SDS. You’ll find our careers advisers in every state secondary school in Scotland, providing advice, information and guidance to pupils from P7 to S6. Throughout school they'll help you develop the skills you need to make choices and manage your future career.
Beyond school, you'll find careers advisers in SDS centres across the country who are there to support you no matter what age or stage you're at.
Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic we’re re-opening our career centres by appointment only. Find and contact your local centre to access free, expert career information and advice. You can speak to an adviser by calling 0800 917 8000. Our helpline is open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. You can also use live chat here on My World of Work. The button will appear when there is an adviser available.
