About us

Careers My World of Work offers career information and advice to adults. It’s brought to you by Skills Development Scotland (SDS), Scotland’s national skills agency. The site is designed to support you to develop your career management skills, no matter what stage you’re at in your career.

Your careers support is changing

On Monday 3 June a brand-new My World of Work is launching. All the careers support you need will be in one place, with a fresh look and improved features.

You can keep using Careers My World of Work as normal until 3 June but after that, the site will close.

Check out our FAQs to find out how to get ready for the change

We're not just a website

Careers My World of Work is part of the careers service offered by SDS. You’ll find our careers advisers in SDS centres across the country who can support you, whatever your age or stage.

Find and contact your local centre to access free, expert career information and advice.

You can also speak to an adviser by calling 0800 917 8000. Our helpline is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
